The update of the Google Maps application comes with a new feature for users of the application on the iOS platform, where through the “Street View” mode, the user can be allowed to walk around and view historical images of the site with information about the site.
Google indicates that the feature will support display of images dating back to the date of the launch of the Street View feature, i.e. 2007, provided that the images are displayed on their own site during that time.
This feature was among the features available on the browser version only, as it provides users to view images that show the history of the site and the changes that have occurred to it, and today it is presented for the first time on the smartphone versions.
Google offers this feature to smartphones today to celebrate the 15th anniversary
Google offers this feature to smartphones today to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the launch of the “Street View” feature, and Google is scheduled to work on developing the feature through a new camera launched next year to capture the highest quality images of hard-to-reach sites.
