TikTok Avatars: TikTok launches the avatar feature to rival Snapchat's Bitmoji

This week, TikTok officially launched the TikTok Avatars feature, which allows users to convert their personal photos into customized animated avatars, similar to the emoji icons that Apple provides to users of its devices and Bitmoji codes that Snapchat provides to users of the application, and TikTok said that the new feature will help Users have to express themselves and their personality through the application.

How to use the new TikTok Avatars feature?

TikTok users can access the new feature of relying on the new animated avatar or emoji to express themselves, by:

• Open the Tik Tok app.
• Click on the "Publish" button to open the camera.
• Click on “Effects” from the camera interface.
• Click on the lens icon to search for effects.
• Look for the TikTok Avatars effect and it shows a set of ready-made icons in different shapes to choose from.
• But the user only has to click on “New” to create a new TikTok avatar that fits the user’s appearance.
• After that, an avatar can be chosen and then customized according to what suits each user, including skin color, hair, head shape, eyebrows, eye shape and color, nose, and ears, with the ability to choose also between glasses and head coverings (hijab and veil are available for use in another set).
• The user can then choose the avatar effect and record a new video, as the avatar automatically tracks facial movements and expressions.

TikTok said that the new TikTok Avatars feature is now available to all users of the application globally, and confirmed that it will continue to improve and innovate to ensure that the feature expresses all users, including clothes, skin colors, hair, and others, to support diversity.

The new avatar feature in Tik Tok can be obtained by downloading the latest version of the application, which is available for free for Android users through the Google Play Store and for iPhone users through the Apple App Store.
