New details about the camera design in the iPhone 14 Pro phones
The latest leaks revealed new details about the camera design in the upcoming iPhone 14 Pro phones this year.
Previous reports confirmed Apple’s plans to support the iPhone 14 Pro phones with a 48-megapixel main sensor, and the new reports indicated the prominent design of the camera unit in the Pro versions, which is due to the large size of the camera sensor.
The new details came in a report published by the analyst “Ming-Chi Kuo”, in which he explained that Apple offers the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max phones with a prominent design for the rear camera unit, while the design of the phones from the back is generally compatible with previous versions.
On the other hand, Ming-Chi Kuo explained that the dimensions of the phones differ in the new versions that come in a larger size. The camera settings in the Pro versions are also scheduled to include a 48-megapixel main sensor, which Apple replaces with the distinctive 12-megapixel sensor.
The reason for the prominent design of the camera is due to the larger size of the new sensor, which ranges between 25 to 35%, and the 7P lenses rise from 5 to 10%, compared to the iPhone 13 Pro.
The new 48-megapixel iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max camera is also expected to support these versions to outperform many 2022 versions of smartphones.
It is reported that the new sensor comes in a size of 1/1.3 inch, with a pixel size of 1.25µm, and it is expected that the iPhone 14 Pro will support pixel-merging technology for more accurate details in low light.
