A new report revealed the number of users of the most popular Internet browsing applications in the world at the present time, on the occasion of the arrival of Apple's Safari browser, to an unprecedented number of users.

Most used chrome
According to a report published by Zdnet, quoting the Atlas Statistics Company, Google Chrome browser is still in the lead as the most number of users in the world, due to the distinctive use experience it provides, as well as its easy spread, whether on desktop devices or smartphones, especially those running the Android system.
Chrome is the world's most used browser with 3.4 billion users, a far cry from its closest competitor, Apple's Safari browser.
Safari achieves unprecedented success
The report stated that Apple's Safari browser, which is official in its operating systems, was able to achieve unprecedented success with regard to the number of users around the world, as it managed to exceed one billion users for the first time since its launch.
Certainly, the large increase in Safari users is due to the clear increase in iPhone users around the world over the past months, which contributed to the increase in the number of browser visitors.
Despite the unprecedented success, Safari is still far behind Google Chrome, controlling only 19% of global Internet users.
Big difference from the rest
While Chrome and Safari talk about billions of users around the world, Microsoft's Edge browser has also achieved success, having reached from 181 million users in 2021 to 213 million today, surpassing Mozilla Firefox browser.
Microsoft has benefited from the proliferation of its own operating system, Windows, which currently powers billions of computers around the world.
In fourth place came Mozilla Firefox after it was the master of the race for a while before the launch of Google Chrome, and it had numbers that strongly outperformed Safari, but now it has 178 million users.
In fourth place and with 149 million users, the official Samsung Internet browser was present for Samsung, and although it is a simple option and does not offer many options, the spread of the company's smart phones around the world helped it to make its browser among the most used.
